Product Description
J-Seal® PS Primer is a one component high penetration primer for use with J-Seal® PS-100 and J-Seal® PS-200 FR polysulphide joint sealants, which assists in forming a strong bond between the substrate and the joint sealant

Physical Properties
Application Instructions
The surface and joint area to be applied with primer should be dry, clean and free of dirt, dust and any foreign matter. Apply a single thin even coat using a small paint brush. Allow primer to become tacky or touch dry before applying the joint sealant. If the primer has been applied longer than three hours, re-apply another application. Refer to the joint sealant installation instructions for further information or contact CORKJOINT if joint sealant installation training is required.
Limitations
- Do not apply below 5°C or above 40°C.
- Avoid excessive application.
- Avoid skin contact. Refer to Health & Safety information.
- Do not discard into the water system.
- Do not smoke or use a flame close to the material.
Coverage
Note: Linear meter of joint per litre of primer. Calculation based on theoretical coverage. Actual material consumption at site will vary depending on the wastage and surface profile.
Packing
- Packaging : 1 litre tin with screw cap.
Storage & Shelf Life
Highly flammable, keep away from heat source or naked flames. Store in cool and dry conditions out of direct sunlight. Shelf life of 12 months in un-opened condition.
Health and Safety Information
Do not apply primer near smoke or naked flame. In case of fire, extinguish with carbon dioxide, dry chemical or foam fire extinguisher.
As with all construction chemical products, caution must be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn. Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes with fresh water immediately. Should any of the products be accidently swallowed, do not induce vomitting, but call for medical assistance immediately.
In confined spaces or in still air conditions, the use of a ventilation fan or suitable respirator should be used, and the advice and approval of the Site Safety Supervisor is essential.
