Main Advantages of the LEAKMASTER LV-Z Hydrophilic Gun Grade Waterstop.

Easy Application – As a moisture-cure one component type water-sealing. Standard caulking guns can be used as for conventional sealants.

Physical Properties – After hardening, it has better physical properties than those of conventional putty type sealants.

Water-Swelling – Swelling up to 2 times (approximately) by Volume as a result of its water absorption ability.

Cool Adherence – It adheres to various materials such as concrete, metals, glass, etc.

Some arears of application for the LEAKMASTER LV-Z Hydrophilic Gun Grade Waterstop. 

1. Water sealing of joints in cast-in-situ concrete
2. Water sealing around steel posts/columns, king posts, that are cast into concrete
3. Water sealing around pipes for pipe penetrations through concrete
4. Box culverts & manholes joints
6. Form tie holes and form ties
7. Rough concrete surfaces of joints
8. Hydrostatic head pressure resistance of up to 2 bar (20metres)

Note : The products design and performance, its intended use, installation and final confirmation and approval for use, must be provided by the project’s Design Engineer and Project Manager.

For the LEAKMASTER LV-Z Hydrophilic Gun Grade Waterstop.

1. Surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, oil & water.
2. Stir adhesive thoroughly before use.
3. Apply the adhesive to both surfaces to be bonded with a dry, clean, brush or scraper to give a uniform coating.
4. Allow the solvents to evaporate until adhesive film is “tacky” or “touch dry”. It will take between 10 to 20 minutes depending upon the surface porosity and the weather conditions.
5. Position the coated surfaces accurately before assembling them, and upon installation, apply an even pressure to the installed material to consolidate the bond.
6. Bond strength can be fully obtained after 24 hours.

1. Minimum cover to LEAKMASTER LV-Z Hydrophilic Gun Grade Waterstop installed application from any outside edge. Refer to Figure 1 in the Product Brochure.
2. Do not apply as an external or surface position like a traditional sealant. Product must be fully encased by concrete.
3. Do not leave exposed to water for longer than 12 hours prior to second concrete pour being placed.
4. Allow to cure (harden) prior to pouring next concrete pour.
5. Use open cartridges within 24 hours after opening.
6. Store in a cool dark and dry place.
7. Shelf life of approximately 12 months from production date.

Where shown on the brochure drawings, the hydrophilic gun grade waterstop sealant shall be LEAKMASTER LV-Z Hydrophilic Gun Grade Waterstop as supplied by CORKJOINT. The Hydrophilic gun grade waterstop sealant is to be polyurethane based and able the be adhered on to concrete, steel, ceramic and/or plastic surfaces. It must have a minimum expansion capability of two times by volume (200%) and be able to withstand a minimum of 2.0 bar (20 meters) of hydrostatic head pressure resistance and proof of this must be provided by an independent laboratory test report. The product must be installed in accordance to the supplier’s installation guidelines and the Design Engineer’s specification.

In confined spaces or in still air conditions, the use of a ventilation fan or suitable respirator should be used, and the advice and approval of the Site Safety Supervisor is essential.
